WordPress accessibility audit built for agencies
Specialised WCAG 2.1 AA audit for WordPress sites — theme, Gutenberg blocks, third-party plugins, and WooCommerce checkout flows. The same 399 € audit deliverable as our generic offering, but with WordPress-specific testing depth and remediation guidance your dev team can apply directly.
WordPress powers ~43% of the EU web — and that's where most agency accessibility risk lives
WordPress is the largest CMS in EU agency portfolios. A single audit conversation with a client running WordPress needs to cover three layers — theme, Gutenberg blocks, and third-party plugins — each of which can introduce its own WCAG failures. WooCommerce stores add a fourth layer with high-stakes checkout flows. We test all four in one report.
Theme audit
Twenty Twenty-Five (default), Astra, GeneratePress, Kadence, custom themes — we test header navigation, focus management, skip links, semantic structure, mobile reflow, and theme-shipped accessibility settings. Findings tagged by which template (single-post, archive, page, search) they appear on.
Gutenberg blocks
Core blocks (Buttons, Image, Cover, Group, Columns) plus popular third-party block libraries (Stackable, Spectra, GenerateBlocks, Kadence Blocks). We flag block-level WCAG failures and call out which block instances on which pages need remediation.
Plugins
WooCommerce checkout, Contact Form 7, Gravity Forms, WPForms, Yoast SEO meta output, popular page builders. We focus on plugins that produce front-end markup or interactive elements that users actually encounter — not plugins that only run in wp-admin.
WooCommerce checkout
Cart, checkout, account dashboard, product gallery, variation selector, payment-method UI. WooCommerce stores fall directly under EAA Annex I (e-commerce category), so checkout accessibility is the highest-stakes WordPress audit area for EU agencies.
A WordPress-specific audit deliverable
Same 399 € price as the generic audit. Same 5-business-day turnaround. Same white-label PDF format. The difference is the WordPress-specific depth in the technical appendix.
Homepage, top template variants, key WooCommerce pages (shop, product detail, cart, checkout, account), and any client-flagged hot spots. Page selection collaborated with you during onboarding.
Each finding clearly attributed to its source — ‘theme partial header.php’, ‘Stackable block: hero’, ‘WooCommerce checkout’. Your dev team knows exactly where to fix without hunting.
Findings mapped to the WCAG criterion that fails and the EN 301 549 clause that references it. Audit report ready to forward to legal, procurement, or compliance teams.
Frontend dev / theme customisation / plugin replacement / content team / design system. Clusters tagged so your PM can assign tickets without re-reading the report.
Where a plugin is a structural blocker — accessibility-broken third-party form builder, inaccessible page-builder block — we name a known-accessible alternative your team can swap in.
Your agency logo, name, and primary colour. Cover page, footer, and contact block use your branding. Clients never see AccessiProof unless you want them to.
FAQ
Do you support multisite installations?
Yes. The 15-page allowance can span sites in a multisite network — we’ll work with you to pick the most representative pages across the network. Mention it in the booking form so we set up the right scan configuration.
What about page builders (Elementor, Divi, Bricks, Beaver Builder)?
Page builder output is web-final HTML at runtime, so axe-core sees what the browser renders. We test the rendered output and flag failures by page-builder element where possible. We don’t audit the back-end builder UI — that’s a different scope.
Will you fix the issues?
The 399 € audit is report-only. If you want implementation help, our partner network includes WordPress agencies that take audit findings as a brief and execute remediation. Email office@accessiproof.com for an introduction.
What plugins do you most often see breaking accessibility?
Slider plugins without proper keyboard support, form builders that don’t associate labels correctly, page-builder ‘hamburger’ mobile menus that trap focus, and pop-up consent banners that don’t expose state to screen readers. The audit names specific instances.
